Well, yesterday I had a great laugh out loud Martha moment while listening to Martha's call in show. A woman called in to ask about a sweet potato recipe that she had at The Outback and Martha asked, "is that in Australia?" Haaaa! The woman with her sweet southern accent was like, "Um, no."
Martha's staff was cracking up in the background too.
Martha said she would try and get the recipe from corporate for the woman and present in on the show. Klassy.
Gotta love her. She's may have been to the big house but she's never been to The Outback Steakhouse. Oh Martha!
BTW have you see Whatever Martha with Alexis and Jennifer on Fine Living? I don't have the channel but their radio show is so funny.
Happy Friday!
Best,
Kwana
P.S.
Today is 9/11 a hard day for so many especially in here in New York. I have no words. Just remember and hopes for peace.

Too funny! Maybe they don't have Outback in Connecticut...Nice that her staff can get a cuckle now and than..!
In two words..."oh Martha".
Let's go to OUTBACK ---I hear the theme song....
Bless Martha. (and her whittled birch sticks)
pve
Kwana, you had me laughing!! I do watch the show and listen to the girls on the radio they are a hoot. Have a golden weekend. xoxo
I can't help loving her too...
Martha...
I love that woman, even though she does have a cranberry farm and sheep and old english gardens and a staff of hundreds at her beck and call. Sometimes I watch her or listen to her and laugh out loud. But she has got it going on, I have to admit. From rags to riches to jail to the last laugh.
Ahh, that's too funny...I'm a huge fan aswell...
Sorry I haven't passed by recently.
But thanks for reminding me what a lovely blog you have!
I will be remembering today too...

I had an Aussie friend visting me here once. She was completely baffled by the Outback and soundly decried every menu item as totally unAustralian.
I LOVE me some Outback - but I tivo and watch Martha and the View everyday LOL. Seriously -it's my dirty little secret, being aired on your blog! I'm a bit skeptical that a brilliant business woman wouldn't know of the successful Outback -i think her inner snobbery wouldn't allow her knowledge to come out! I bet you anything she's there every weekend with a bloomin onion!
Outback actually has a couple of things I like every now and then. Hope that you have a great weekend, Kwana! XO
hahaha...
This reminded me of Paris Hilton on Wallmart! She thought it was a place that sells wallpaper! Happy Friday Kwana!!
This morning I watched the reading of the names at the WTC site. Very hard to imagine 8 years have gone by. Seems like yesterday.
Thanks for the Whatever Martha episodes. Alexis Stewart is VERY FUNNY!!! I remember the old Martha shows, everything was a huge project!! But one of my favorite Martha EASY recipes are green grapes coated in blue cheese. Very yummy.
today was sad. we just watched a show on tv about it and Ben and I both just sat there and cried. uggh. it's my dad's birthday today too, if you can believe what a horrible date it is to have!
Love your post!
This is a terrific line: "She may have been to the big house but she's never been to The Outback Steakhouse."
Part of what I like about Martha is that she owns who she is; she isn't one of us mere mortals, and she doesn't pretend to be. Gotta love her!
