Hi I'm Kwana Jackson. A writer of Women's fiction and Young Adult, former fashion designer, wife and a mother of teen twins who has a love of knitting and a strange obsession with "reality" TV. Oh and I'm the owner of one feisty terrier named Jack who I write about often because he can't sue me or talk about me in therapy later!
Will Write for Money, Food or Gas! Or you can just send me an email to tell me how much you really love me.
What's Jack up to? What a funny dog he is. Pushing his bowl towards me, giving me the big hints and getting quite miffy lately when I don't immediately jump to attention. Sorry there are way too many bossy folks already in this house, Jack. I'm not biting no matter how cute you are.
A little while back I was lucky enough to glance out the kitchen window and see the beginnings of a partly that I clearly was not invited too. I slipped off grabbed my camera and crashed.
Is the party still in progress, I will fly right on over! Love that last shot, it is a "turtle-dove" and those are sent as a sign of peace and harmony. Now, why did I not know that you had a bird bath, is that new? You know how I am a bird lover! pve
I can't imagine why you weren't invited to the party but I'm glad to see your priorities are in order - drop the house work and join in.
On the side: when our water dish is empty Jake (our boarder collie/lab mix) clinks the dish with the food bow. Yeah - we know who really runs this house.
Great pictures! I love capturing nature in my own backyard. I saw a hummingbird in my flower bed the other day, but their so quick and elusive so sadly, no pictures.

The more, the merrier! Or...Birds of a feather flock together~
You have created a lovely spot for bathing.
I think your camera was the guest of honor. Great photos. I like the lonely mourning dove.
Yep, Patricia. The Bird bath has been in the back since we moved in. It came with the house. Lucky us. Though birds rarely come.
Thanks for the kind comments. I feel so lucky to get the shots.
Sheryl, Jake sounds so like Jack. Demanding. Ha.
This is a kodak moment! The dove arriving at the end is the best! I think I see a child's story here, do you? xoxo
Nature rocks.
Such a joy to watch them!
Love the sound of turtle doves...

I have a little fountain and the birds just love it. but my dog treats it like her private swimming pool AND water bowl too!
You are are so sweet and Cote de Texas your dog sounds like a hoot.
Wow...I've never seen an actual bird bath party. That's too much! And...they actually do look like they're having fun.
