Bleak Weekend

What's Jack up to? Jack had been a funny one doing a few things that are out of the norm for him. Like in the picture here of him of sitting in front of the fire (yes, I know I need to paint, um, will get to it in the Spring).

For some reason he really enjoyed the fireplace this weekend with me as I spent lost of time in front if it watching BBC's version of Bleak House.

It was the perfect thing to watch in front of the fire and used up so much wood. Have you seen it? I totally enjoyed it. Bleak but not as bleak as I thought. Quite funny actually in parts.

Besides that, the usual running wild, finally getting the tree decorated and bowling a 132 (my new high). That was my weekend.

Holiday Giveaway!

What's Jack up to? As I write this Jack is hanging in his spot under the bed with the latest toy that he's chewed to bits. Lately I've been finding stuffing in the oddest places. Oh well, that's my Jack.

The holidays are here, really they are! And really I am still so not prepared. This is seriously turning into a thing with me this year. Way to cut it close, Kwana. Sigh.

Stick a Fork in Her

Wow, according to the counter this is my 600th post. That can't be right. Can it?

There must be a few drafts thrown in there but I'm not going to go back and count so I'll just go by the reader and say go me. Yay!

Funny it being my 600th post and here I am posting this God awful pic of myself but there you have it. That's me. I keep it real. A far cry from yesterday's post.

Well here I am yesterday just a few minutes after getting off a roller coaster that I probably had no business getting on. It's The Bizarro at 6 Flags. That thing twisted, turned went upside down and, corkscrewed. I think it was the corkscrews that did me in. Don't they all?

So today I'm dog tired.

After that one I was a go go for this one. The DH was a trooper and went on all the coasters with the Dear Twins including El Turro. My hero.

I did get my nerve up and stomach back in order and got on Superman which I love before we went home. Scary. No bottom. The coaster tilts your body so it's like you're flying. Crazy and I loved it!

It was a great way to end the day with the four of us in terror together like we were meant to be. A family. LOL.

Super Saturday

What's Jack up to? It's Saturday so Jack is taking it light and breezy being spoiled by his best bud the DH. He's such a lucky dog.

Speaking of the DH. The winner of The Diamonds of Welbourne contest was pulled last night at around 12:15 by my very own tired DH.

The winner is..... Patricia of PVE designs! And she was the very first commenter.

Congrats Patricia. I'll let the ladies know and have a book to you as soon as possible. I'm sure it will get your artist imagination going.

The DH was so tired because the family was just back from seeing Wolverine late last night. It was a fun and exciting way to start off the summer movie season.

Lucky Surprise

What’s Jack up to? Jack’s Chilling. Working on his coolness. As if he need work. Ha!

I’m a winner!

And I’m really shocked about it since I entered the Save The Contemporary contest with my usual thought of, “well you’re not winning that.” I know, I’m an eternal optimist. I even went over to one of my favorite blogs Ramblings on Romance and saw that Kristie did not win and made a premature comment that I didn’t win either. What's Jack up to? He's relaxing on this Sunday after watching the DH and I (mostly the DH) work in the front yard all afternoon yesterday. Now today it's rainy and perfect for lounging around.
