Tackle it Tuesday? Ha I wish.
Today I find myself thinking if I had a million dollars (well, 2 or 3. A million just ain’t what it used to be) I’d hire that cleaning fairy and hunky Top Chef to make my life just a smidge (read: whole boatload) more manageable. Life is very different now than from when this still life was done by Pop Artist Tom Wesselmann in 1963.
It’s another postcard I have from a visit to the MoMa. I think I was drawn to the color and calming simplicity of this kitchen. I’m sure the Rice Krispies and the Dole Pineapples helped pull me in too.
What practical thing would you purchase if you had a million or two?

A Mac cause this computer I'm using is a piece! And a new car and make my husband quit his job so we can move home! A girl can dream!! Why stop...Mommy makeover...happiness, good health and peace for all mankind!
To be honest, I'm not sure I would want a million dollars. Yeah more then what we have but not that much. I am afraid I may get caught up in it and lose sight of what is truly important.
But if I was to dream.....a personal trainer and cook would be great :)
love the print! if i had a few mill i'd pay off all my friends bills, buy a new house with a pool that all the dogs could enjoy, and stop working so much!
xo
I really like this illustration-
I would most definately have a small studio built-with good light and storage-ohhh...don't get me started.
....college for my twins or buy ART!
pve
I'd help my kids pay off their student loans. Good question.
I would purchase a ticket out of student loan hell! And then I would buy a meat thermometer. (this is weird, my word verification is "tution" almost tuition!)
Hubby and I would buy our out-of-Alaska-snowbird-getaway-home in a golf/tennis community. We would downsize our current home and live in a condo during the summers, then migrate away in mid-October. Of course the dogs would love it too.
Thanks for the opportunity to dream today, Miss K!! xoxo
I'd pay some things off for my family. And change the cleaning woman from once a month to twice. And put Christian Louboutin on speed dial.
I would fix all the things that are wrong with my house:-)
I'd just keep following Dave Ramsey's baby steps. So I guess I'd start fully funding retirement and college accounts as well as pay off our house (and finish the needed remodeling). Not having any payments in the world would make life pretty sweet!
Visit the Greek Isles and then come home to buy a piano!
Woohoo! Glad to see you're editing. :)
Nice art pick, too.
I yearn for a separate studio, with light galore, vaulted ceiling, and all of the equipment and artist paints, etc one would ever need. I would have enough space to teach children classes there.
I would travel, hire a personal trainer and a cook but only for four days out of the week. I'd want to cook the rest of the days myself.
I'd also provide for family and friends.
Gee, I think my head would spin around in amazement until it popped off I'd be so shocked! I plan on spending a million dollars before I die though, it's on my bucket list.
A house that could stay clean? Or at least a house with a little hidey nook where I could shut the door and immerse myself in books without distractions. Ahh it's probably going to take more than a million for that one!
1) Live-in cleaning lady
2-5) (Repeat of #1)
Actually, I'd probably finish off my nest egg & student loans first, but oh, to be able to walk into a clean house every day . . . (one that I myself had nothing to do with, that is) . . .
Hope the edits went well!
I need a new car. And an apartment in Paris. And a Kelly bag. :)
