What’s Jack up to? He’s back to looking out the window with an unobstructed view now that the Christmas tree is down. I’m thinking he’s wondering where everyone’s gotten off to since the kids are back to school and we once again can get back to a bit of a routine and have the house back for a few hours of the day. Yay! Oops, I'm sorry was that un-p.c. of me?
So how are you on this first Monday of the New Year?
So how are you on this first Monday of the New Year?
Are you excited about it or does it feel like any other Monday?
I feel a certain amount of wide eyed optimism that I guess any hopeless dreamer always has. A full 360 days to tackle my goals of writing, diet, exercise, my home, my family the list goes on and on. But you know what? I’m not going to think about those 360 days left in the year. Way too daunting.

I’m going to take it one day at a time and remember to dream a little each day so I can stay optimistic and not get too bogged down.
How are you going to tackle this First Monday?
Best,
Kwana

Back to work, but feeling very excited and hopeful about our incoming President Obama!
And also trying to stay warm and keep my car on the icy Anchorage roads.... xo
Sitting at my desk at work. Looking at my calendar and realizing how booked up I am through May already! But it's going to be a good year!!!!
And yes...can't wait until January 20th!!!!! = )
A couple errands, hopefully a goodly amount of writing, a sweaty workout and some laundry. That's how I plan on spending my Monday. Riveting, no?
In my mind I'm saying "I don't want to go to work tomorrow" I got spoiled these last couple of weeks to do things with no idea of what time it is. On the other hand structure is always good.
Give a hug to Jack the man! xoxo
Waiting for my other half to come home from work so we can move most of the boxes from the moving truck into our new home. I am checking email, blogging, and then will rest a bit. The first Monday is starting off quite peaceful so I will try to get a few pages in today and load up on caffeine. Next week I'm putting together a work schedule that will include my workout and writing time. Got to get down to business in 2009!
it's gonna be a great year. I'm with you on the optimism. 2009 is going to be the year to remember!
Hey Kwana!
I'm with you on the optimism. I'm determined that 2009 will be a good year, and the year I finish the WIP I'm on now. Also lose weight, etc.
Off to a good start, as my new habit is to write at least 500 words in the morning, before I start the regular job. And hopefully more....

I do like your optimistic attitude! Every day is a new day, another chance to get it right!!
I read this late today (okay, Tuesday) and you know what, I was infinitely excited about today. It was a great start to the year with good meetings and momentum.
I think 2009 will rock. Has to.
thankful that order is restored, children back in school, hubby back to work (thankful) every day is a gift and I will live and love for today.
food will also get me through, lunch with friends like you will make the year start off just right.
LOVE that painting! The first Monday was GREAT... school was back in session! YEA! A little peace and quiet!
