Crying in Argentina

I would have probably written about something else today, but this story stopped me in and tracks and saved me from thinking of a topic so, um, thanks? Not.

It's just too much. And he's running an entire State while just running off without a word and on Father's Day weekend no less. And we wonder why we're all in a hot mess. Cut to me shaking my head.

One of the most interesting things I found about this video of South Carolina Gov. Republican Mark Sanford confessing to his affair and subsequent strange disappearing act was the Dow index in the corner. Just watch the DOW. Very telling.

Best,
Kwana

I'm usually not very easily confused...believe it or not ;-)...but WOW this one really takes the cake, huh?! I love (and I use that word somewhat reluctantly) that he floated the story of hiking -- naked! -- in the Adirondacks because that actually made him sound LESS KOOKY! OMG you can't make this stuff up...

We watched this on the news with our mouths open even wider than when Sarah Palin was announced as John McCain's running mate!!!!

I had a hard time understanding what he was saying, while he was tripping over his tongue. But when he said when the whole things started "sparking" or it began with a spark, I said, ah-oh buddy - you are in over your head! Lots of head shaking in the background....

just wait until you read the lurve emails that he sent his mistress. purple prose lookout!

i just love how all the so-called "family values" moral police peeps are actually liars and hypocrites. this guy was one of those leading the charge to impeach clinton back in the day for his "moral" failings. pfft.

The Father's Day element of all this just really pushes it right over the edge for me. I mean, gee whiz. His poor kids. His poor wife. His poor state! What a bozo.

You know what makes me even more nervous? This behavior could have gone entirely unchecked, and he would have returned and told his staff the whole hiking BS, and nobody would have been the wiser.

And how many gov's do crap like this all the dang time?

Call me naive, but I miss the times when politicians felt (or at least acted) as though they were held to a higher standard.

I don't have enough time to type out my anger about this governor & his incredibly irresponsible, self-centered actions. Suffice it to say, ugh.
