Strike!

Check out my new super cute shoes that I got the other day. Yeah, I know cute is a stretch, but I really think they are.

Because yes folks, I’m the DH’s proud new bowling partner. Eee everytime I say it I age about 10 years. But though I’m am awful bowler and he’s really good I wanted to do it to spend some quality time with the DH where we were not talking about kids, chores and other assorted life mess. Just having some fun together.

So I got myself a pair of my very own shoes (can’t go wearing rentals week after week) and joined our church league.

Check out this nifty shirt I spied hanging in the corner of the alley. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.

It was such a good time and with a 98 being my high score there is plenty of room for improvement. Plenty.

Now I wonder what type of bowling couple we will be. So far no special shirts but you know I’m thinking about it. I hope this marriage can survive.
So tell me: what fun thing do you do to keep the spark alive or just for you to take you out of the everyday rut?

And of course knowing me like you do, did you think for a second that I would not put up this video?
Yay, Grease 2! Such a fun hot mess.

Best,
Kwana

Love the shoes! You will have fun if not a lot of laughs. I haven't bowled in years but I liked it better with the bumpers up. Have a great day.

I love knowing the dream behind this story....and now that you have joined forces for the pure fun of it.
Reason enough to stay married! A couple that plays together stays together.

Good for you. I always felt awkward bowling. Very snazzy shoes you have there. I do some things my DH enjoys and he does the same. That nightly chat over a glass of pinot grigio doesn't hurt either.

The shoes are cute! I think it's great you're joining the team to do things with the hubby. Mike Geraci golfs, and he occasionally hints that he'd like me to learn. I know one day, I'll break down:)

Likey your shoes!!! Love the little pink toes!! Ron and I spend a lot of time together we even work together too!! It all works out somehow. He plays golf and I don't. Too antsy for 18 holes. He joins my Sunday tennis group when there is no more golf (winter) We often take separate travel breaks to break up all the togetherness. He on golf trips with his boys and me to NJ to visit my family and my beloved Yankees. It works for me.

Oooooh! Love it! Love the shoes (pink was important!!!) and love your reason for joining. My hubby keeps trying to talk me into golf, but I can't quite bring myself to swing something over my head and try to hit a little bitty ball like that. But his fantasy is that we will golf together in retirement. Hmmm ... (My fantasies involved more like alcoholic beverages and comfy chairs, but maybe I can learn to swing a club or two.)

So now that you're joining the bowling team for your hubby, what's he going to join/try for you?

Ah! I love those shoes. I think I would have to buy my own pair as well.

I haven't been bowling since middle school! I have to go out and do it soon. Lots of fun.

That by far has to be my favorite scene from GREASE 2.

What a classic!

Those are bowling shoes? Those are some badass bowling shoes. I'd totally wear them in public, if I didn't have to save them for the alley!

Love the shoes too!
Enjoy the bowling, it's not how good but that you want to do it that counts.
