What's Jack up to? As I write this Jack is hanging in his spot under the bed with the latest toy that he's chewed to bits. Lately I've been finding stuffing in the oddest places. Oh well, that's my Jack.
The holidays are here, really they are! And really I am still so not prepared. This is seriously turning into a thing with me this year. Way to cut it close, Kwana. Sigh.
Ah well, I'm not going to let my lack of planning or get up and go ruin holiday cheer on this here blog so I'm having a Holiday Giveaway. Yay!!!
This giveaway is featuring a beautiful notebook/sketchbook from one of my favorite artists, my good friend, Patricia of PVE Design.
notebook titled: Life's a Beach
Many of you are fans of Patricia's work from her blog or you may have been lucky enough to have commissioned a work of your very own. I'm lucky to have had her design my above banner which I always get compliments on.

What a nice way to wake up. Hands down my favorite holiday tune would be Johnny Mathis singing The Christmas Song {chestnuts roasting on an open fire}. That man can sing a Christmas song that will always give me goose-flesh
Lovely gift set Kwana...someone will be merry for sure!
xo*
Two favorites - Oh Holy Night and Silver and Gold (can't decide which is THE favorite). Your giveaway is very generous!
I love Handel's Messiah and of course what would Christmas be without Charlie Brown?
Thanks for having lil ole me for a give-away!
pve
O Holy Night is my favorite no matter who is performing it:) Thanks for the chance!

PVE does beautiful work and is a nice person too. I wish her much success. I am a follower of both Kwana and PVE so hope I qualify. I don't know how to tweet the info but here is my favorite Christmas music:
I love the Charlie Brown Christmas CD so sweet and simple. xoxo
Oh, I would say Ave Maria by Schubert. It is so timeless and stirs your emotions every time! Kwana, Thank you so much for the giveaway from one of my very favorite illustrators!
Oooo! A PVE giveaway! Count me in! My favorite holiday song is Santa Baby, sung by the amazing Eartha Kitt.
There's no denying how much I adore PVE's work! Great giveaway!
So...this may sound a bit cheesy, but one holiday song that kick-starts the season for me is "Hard Candy Christmas" by Dolly Parton! I know, I know - but hey, I'm still a Southern Belle at heart!
Yay!
My favourite Christmas Carols are
"Lo how a rose ere blooming"
and "In the Bleak Midwinter"
but my song to add to your playlist is a must, it's by my favourite hometown band, Over The Rhine and called "Darlin' Christmas is Coming" - available on iTunes, check them out, both their holiday albums "Snow Angels" and "Darkest Night of the Year" are must haves!
*hugs*
Leanna
What a beautiful sketch notebook! I'm off to check out her etsy store after this.
My all time two favorites are "O Come All Ye Faithful" by Luther Vandross
and Do You Hear What I Hear by Whitney Houson.
My favs are; Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, & O' Come All ye Faithfull, both sung by Luther Vandross.
I've got two: This Christmas by Donnie Hathaway and No Room At The Hotel by Chosen Gospel Singers (featuring a young Lou Rawls!)
I love that PVE Design notebook! And it's not x-mas until I hear this song: All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey
Kwana what a wonderful gift to giveaway! I have been blessed to have some of Patricia's art so I'm just stopping by to say Hi. I'm off to visit her shop. The other day her cupboards were bare now I feel like a kid in the candy store. Smile... Hugs to you and Jack. xo
"All I Want for Christmas" by Mariah Carey is a must. I even love the version from "Love Actually".
Another is must is Wham!'s "Last Christmas". George Michael... Enough said. Taylor Swift's cover is pretty good too.
"Sleigh Ride". Reminds me of watching WPIX or some other channel that used to run it during their holiday promos. Still reminds me of Christmas in the city, which is SO opposite what the song is about!
I like Latin music so Navidad Sin Ti (christmas without you) by Los Bukis is what I would suggest...sad but a good song!

I'm tempted to say that it is Grandma Got Run over By a Raindeer, but it's actually Sting singing The Angel Gabriel from the very first A Special Christmas CD.
I am submitting "Christmas Wrappings"
by the Waitresses.
It is a Rock and Roll classic with a happy ending
