What's Jack up to? Jack's still trying to get used to this limited diet thing. It's not fun or easy. He's very picky about his food and come to find out the food from the vet is super expensive. Yikes!
Jack also got in huge trouble yesterday and had to go on time out for charging out of the house and running across the street to bark at the big sweet old dog that lives there and never bothers anyone. Talk about a Napoleon complex. My dog has one. Grrrr!
Have a Happy Friday!
Best,
Kwana

Oh no Kwana! Anything but food from the vet! Are you $ure it's necessary?
I love when little dogs act like big dogs....cracks me up! Hope Jack and ya all have a wonderful weekend.
I was actually proud of Kiki the other day when she barked back at another dog. In the past she was so shy and frihtened, now she is learning to stick up for herself. Yay!
Still wish we could get the two together!
Jack and Kiki...what a cute couple!
Poor Jack...Vet food is way too expensive!
Ohhh-Jack, not crossing the street all alone. Careful little guy. Have a great weekend Kwana.
Did you know that there in fact is a little dog, smaller thank your little dog, and his name is Napoleon in the neighborhood?
Funny how a name just seems to fit a character and a dog. I cannot imagine Jack, by any other name. Jack seems to suit him.
Good luck with Jack and that named designer dog food! Did I just hear Jack bark a 4 letter word?
I hope Jack looked both ways before crossing the street.
Oh... my dear sweet friend I don't know if you know this or not, but you have another teenager in the house. Jack does have the terrier persona that will push and pull at your buttons.
Even our Kelly who is aging rapidly lately still has her moments.
Gary put Kelly on a diet to lose a pound. She did it! Too bad it doesn't come off that easy on me. LOL...
Dear kwana, there is a lot of online recipes and resources from canine websites for some food for Jack that might be good for his condition and which he may find more palatable than the $$$ vet food.... I know it may add extra work for you (or the Dear Twins) but it might be worth a peek.... and I agree why do the smallest dogs think they are gigantic???
T.Anne we're not sure it's necessary. The vet admits it. We can only try for a while.
Jack running across the street was very serious because a car could have been coming. So he was is big trouble and I let him have it.
Country Girl. Kiki is such a cutie. Who knows how Jack would act though he is such a bad dog at times never very polite with company. LOL.
Joyce I'm glad Kelly did so well on her diet. If only it were so easy for us.
Thank for the tips, Ina.
Sigh. Diets make me crabby too.
If the big dog across the street never bothers anyone how else was Jack going to get his attention :)
Maddie sits on top of her perch in the house and barks at anyone who has the nerve to walk by our house....silly dogs.
Poor Jack! Hasn't he learned about crosswalks yet? :)
I totally sympatize. My Pug has to eat expensive canned food I can only get at the vet's office, too (though she is not in the least picky about her food...)
My dog, Nicholas (Nicky, a papillion) is on an ongoing diet. I bet he's not happy right now because we're away for the week and the pet sitter was instructed to measure his food. No table scraps this week (yes, I'm guilty of this). He's going on six years of age but acts like a puppy. He's my toddler. Gotta watch him. I live with the woods and a forty mile paved trail behind my house. The road in front of my house is busy and my house sits between 2 hills. Can't always see the cars until they're right there. I always listen. Nicky (on leash) has been on this trail over a thousand times. He still wants to bolt across the street. I have to keep that leash very tight when crossing. He's oblivious to threats of "you'll be road kill!"But I love him and miss him and my cat, Callie.
haha...
me too, I'm having Napoleon complex all week...TGIF!! I need a peaceful break, wishing the same to you Kwana!!
Oh Jack. I hope you all have a peaceful weekend!
Jack is so adorable. I bet he was just telling the other dog that dynamite comes in small packages :)
He is so very cute but yes, he needed a time out. Sam pulled that one on me. A truck came and I knew he was a goner but since it was a lifted truck, it rolled right over him. He was on lockdown for months!
I sympathize with the expensive food. I used to make my babies food..with all natural and less expensive ingredients. They sure loved it.
Your little Jack is utterly loveable, Napoleon complex and all!
Have a lovely weekend, sweet Kwana!
He is mighty cute Jack - Napoleon complex or not...Enjoy your weekend Kwana, xv.
Okay, so I didn't realize my dog had a long lost twin.
1. My dog eats special food too. Half my paycheck goes to it.
2. He also has a Napoleon complex. He's 24 lbs. He once, okay twice, tried to attack a Great Dane. I know. . .
3. He barks.
4. He has runny eyes.
5. He goes into mourning when my mother leaves.
6. He has time outs, usually for barking. And he knows when I'm going to give him one. So now he just puts himself in his time out spot after he's done something naughty, which saves me the hassle.
See? Twins, right?
