So I finally finished my handwritten edits on my summer hot mess manuscript. And I'm happy to report the story isn't that much of a hot mess. There's a reason I couldn't let go of it and wanted to go back and edit it again. The main characters. They are relatable and real and I really care about their story of marital un-bliss. So go me! I hope others will too.
That said there is still plenty of work ahead.
Now it's time for the second half of the game where I get up close and personal with my Dell laptop. As if we aren't close enough. So back to the Bat Cave. See you as I come up for air.
Best,
Kwana

Wonderful!! Progress!!! xoxo
Good for you! I hope the second half is a breeze.
I hope the next phase is as good as the first. Have fun.
Make sure you stop for a moment to smell the flowers; important for the soul. Or at least have a cup of tea, which is like a spa for the soul. :)
Good luck, Kwana! My handwritten edits always go a lot better than the soft copy edits.
All the best and enjoy!
Second half....sounds like intermission is in order!
Coffee break, any time, just come up the hill, or Ice tea...at the ready!

I can totally relate. I like my characters in my first MS. My crit group liked them. Unfortunately some agents didn't seem to. I got a real nice helpful "R" from a NY editor with great feedback. So after I let MS#1 marinate, I'll be revisiting it for some "tweaking". Hard at work at MS#2 (same H&H but different secondary characters). Even with "R's"I still love to write, and to be challenged to improve daily.
Congrats on your progress! It was great to see you at Lady Jane's last night!
I love revisions! I hope yours are easy!
You are doing great. I can't wait to get a copy of your first published book. Go rock!
You sound as if you're having fun with this! I'm so glad you're pleased with what you're creating. Keep up the good work.
Hi Kwana! I'm new to your blog & I love it! Congratulations on the progress of your manuscript:)
This is wonderful Kwana- keep going! xoxo
Color me impressed. I wish I had the fortitude to embark on a project like that. I bet the finished project is going to be wonderful. Always a good sign when you heart your characters.
Go you indeed - sounds like progress!
Congrats! It must feel great to look at that nice stack of paper and be happy with it.
