Summer Monday

What's Jack up to? He's gearing up for a week of fun in the sun, well knowing Jack he'll be hiding out from it while he plans his newest delivery man attack. That sly Jack.

I've got tons on my mind this Monday morning. Just because it's summer it doesn't mean the work slows down for Dear Mom. My to-do list for the week kind of makes me want to... to-don't. But being the adult in the house, that is not an option. Rather than list things here I'd like to think of more pleasant things so I'm posting some progress pics of my garden. You can see the old pics here and I think you'll agree there has been some major progress.

It's slightly slow going in the tomato area and I could be tending things better than I am, but all in all I think it's progressing nicely. Check out the collard greens.

Look squash blossoms.

Check out these string beans. Aren't they pretty!?

What's on tap for your week?

Best,
Kwana

Your garden looks great! My cherry tomatoes have been magically disappearing. I think there is a squirrel to blame.

Your garden is awesome. I didn't do one this year with the move and all... but it is on the books for next year.

This week is work, write, and upload to CPs. Plus we have soccer 3 nights. Gonna be busy!

Thanks Kristen. Sorry about your cherry tomatoes. Darn squirrel. Too bad you can't get the gator on it!

Thanks Mel. It sounds like you have a really busy week ahead too.

WOW!! That's some progress! Congrats! :-)

I actually have a pretty busy schedule for this week. Several events, interviews, baby shower, etc. I can't wait until next week when I go to L.A to relax!

Kwana, a bit of potash around the base of your tomatoes will help them go nuts, and also plant some basil, they're companion plants, they'll spring up wonderfully together.

How cute are you with your garden? I'm jealous of the squash. I tried to grow it on the balcony once, but it's just not the same.

Thanks BG. I can't wait to hear about your adventures in L.A.

Thanks for the advice Natalie. I'll give it a try.

We'll see if I get actual squash, Marley and not just blossoms.

If Kwana's veggies start disappearing, it because her neighbor reads this and they look great!

Kidding. I'll just ask you to bring a salad for the next get-together...
