Do You Really Wanna Know, Kwana?

What’s Jack up to? Well the wild vacation week is over so it's back to what’s supposed to count for normal with just Jack and I at home for a big hunk of the day. I think he’ll be spending the day enjoying a bit of quiet. At least for a little while.

I hope you all had a good weekend. Anyone have a fine time with The Oscars last night? I’m amazed at how much fun I had on twitter with The Oscars last night. Seriously, it was a little party that I didn’t have to dress up for. The DH was so not getting it, but I was having a grand time with my tweets.

I’m a newbie to the whole social networking thing. Fact is, I really don’t consider myself all that social. Just a big faker. So how social are you? Are you Linked in? Do you tweet? Do you follow me? (um, over to the right) Are you Faced out? Or do you like to hang back and stay off the grid? Who needs Big Brother watching all that much, eh?

Now, in the ultimate outing, I’m extremely honored to have been interviewed by Keli Gwyn over at her blog Romance Writers on The Journey. It’s my first blog interview so I’d love it if you stopped on by. You can check it out here. Thanks Keli!

Best,
Kwana

Hi Kwana,
I'l be sure to pop over to Romance Writers on the Journey today! I have not taken up twitering (is that even a word?) yet, although I do enjoy blogging (also about the Oscars today:) and spend way too much time on Facebook.
Happy Monday!
Sarah

I signed up for Twitter but never used it. Wouldn't know how. My Facebook page says I never check it. For me, it is just my blog and e mail....Could not stay up for all of Oscars but loved Hugh Jackman. What an talented and elegant man!!

Kwana,

Great choice of dresses. Sounds like a great party not having to go outside and get all dressed up.

I'm not a twiter either, don't even know how to use it. Do I need a special phone, computer... Oh dear if I start another thing I need to find a way to get my other things finished.

I like socializing in small groups, but I also enjoy my down time too.

Have a golden day! Many hugs to you and Jack. xoxo

Twitter - I have an account but can never figure out how to make it work.

I do facebook and follow your lovely blog.

Those dresses are gourgous.

Congrats on your interview. Have a great day.

I had fun at the Twitter Oscar party, too! I got to sit there in my pajamas, and yet had someone to "talk" to instead of just yelling at my TV screen about how funny Ben Stiller was pretending to be Joaquin Phoenix, or why did Jessica Biel show up in a satin bath towel. :)

I'm not especially 'social' either--kinda shy, and working as a lonely writer doesn't help. But Facebook and Twitter are pretty easy ways to get in touch with people...

H keeps telling me I need to "get on" Facebook but I think that if I did my computer desk chair would become a permanent part of my body. The thought of managing something like that (or any other social networking thingamajig) just overwhelms me!

I signed up for twitter once because I wanted to read something, and now I regularly get emails that this person or that person are "following" me on twitter. It's all I can do to blog! I'm on fb too but it's a once a week kind of check in. My husband is on fb at least once a day - kind of funny.

HI Kwana! I have decided I spend TOO much time networking and on my PC, so I decided to stop Facebook, at least. Need to get more work done in the "real" world. LOL. Congrats on your interview - I will go check it out.

I think I'm on just about any network but I don't often do any upkeeping. I guess I get excited about putting things together but sometimes life is too busy to keep track of everything.

For once, I just enjoyed the Oscars without having to do anything :)

Oh you know me...we were Tweeting last night on the Oscars. FB, Twitter, I'm even on Plaxo tho I really don't pay it much mind.

What people have to remember that it's SOCIAL networking...so you have to participate! But you can also set expectations online for yourself. I ramp up every now and again, but then I go days without when I am busy. It's great networking.

I'm heading right over to that interview...can't wait!

Thanks for the social stories and for checking out my interview. I do get that it can be a time suck.

I'm trying to be social but I just can't seem to get Twitter down!

I'm all over the place. Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn- you name it!

You know I'm following you, girl!

(I can't get over how cute Jack is, can I trade him for my hubby?)

Great interview Kwana! I love the pic too.

Kwana said...

I hear you, Tami.

No, Tivi you can't trade him for your hubby. Sorry.

Thanks so much, Jen!

I totally missed the Oscars, but the dresses were very pretty.

I didn't watch the Oscars at all, but those dresses are amazing!

I twit, face, ning and sometimes even myspace... I say it's for networking and job hunting. That's my excuse for spending way too much time on these sites.

Ditto to what Ms.Erika said, lol.
Great interview Kwana. I also fell insanely head over heels with the book Eat, Pray, Love. If I'm not mistaken it is being made into a film, and Julia Roberts is set to star in. Think she'll be a good choice.

Thanks for all of your comments and for stopping by the interview. I appreciate it so much.

I started social networking, and now I have more "friends" (facebook) from high school than I actually had in high school. :-)Though it's kind of a hoot to see what they've all been up to for the past 20 years. LinkedIn for work purposes, and got a couple of work leads (all good!). Tried tweeting and am not really good at it...Will try to get back to that.
