Mamma Mia! So many men/books, so little time

What's Jack up to? He's having a happy Saturday. Right now he's in his chilling out spot under my bed. It must be cool under there. Too bad I can't fit.

Last night about about 2:oo AM I finished Hannah Howell's Highland Bride. (Yep the DH was not too happy about the light still being on) It was a fun read. 4 stars from Romantic Times. A total escape and it got me happily through a few baseball games and practices with the DS.

My lovely agency sistah Kristen got me thinking with her recent blog post about how few book I actually read as compared to how many I used to read. It's sad really. I used to be a 1 or 2 book a week girl now I'm lucky if I can do 1 or 2 a month. My TBR (to be read) pile is just sick. Not to mention I'm heading to the RWA national conference in a few short weeks where I'll be coming home with a ton more books that I'll want to read. What's a girl to to? I see many more 2:00 AMs in my future.

On another happier note, look what comes out this Friday. I can't wait to go see this with the DD!

Best,
Kwana

I'm excited about Mamma Mia! too. I was going to blog about it but you scooped me. LOL.

When the musical first came to Toronto (played her for ages in the early 2000's) I thought, seriously???? I was never into ABBA and had no desire to see it. But when I finally went, I loved it. And the cast for the film is so fantastic. Can't wait. Of course, want to see Hellboy II, as well...

You are so funny Mel.

Sorry to scoop you Maureen. You are so lucky to have seen it live. I never got the chance. Of course it was in NY forever and may still be, who knows. Hellboy II looks great. I'm sure I'll probably be seeing that sometime soon with the dear twins too.

I can't for MAMMA MIA! either! Can't. Wait! Too bad we can't all go see it together, eh?

Glad you liked Hannah's books. She's in the NEC chapter and a real sweetheart. = )

You guys are so funny. You know I never noticed the 2 MM's in Mamma Mia until now? Leave it to me.

Kristen I know you'll have a great time with your BFF's.

Marley it would be fun it we could all go together. We'd probably tear the place up. It's so cool that Hannah is in your chapter. I think I picked up the book at the NEC conference BTW. Please tell her she has a fan over here.

I was supposed to see this movie on the weekend and I came down with the flu..... arghhghghghgh. Isn't that just the way of things?

Kwana said...

Oh Natalie. I hope you're feeling better. I didn't think it was out yet? Was it a preview? Bummer. Oh well, there is still plenty of time.

Mamma Mia, can't wait - looks like fun!
Reading is like a wave, once you start, you just keep reading. I am aiming for a book a week this summer. Just finished my book in less than 2 days and loved it.
