I think I have problem. As a matter of fact I know I have a problem. How can a woman be in a theater watching a film with the swoon worthy Clive Owen and be distracted by a handbag? And yet, I was.
The DH and I went to see Duplicity on Friday night. It was a fun night out. I was excited to see Julia and Clive together on the screen. I had my doubts about seeing Clive in such a well lit role. Something I had shared earlier with the PIC. You see I like Clive in nice and dark roles but he worked it out for me.
The movie had it points that had me saying huh? But happily that was worked out nicely too. But back to the main point of today's post, my problem. This night should have been all about the film and Clive, but there I was very early on in the story totally smitten when confronted with an old love. The Marc Jacobs Blake Shoulder Bag. Julia's character carries it in the film. I turn to my DH and whispered to him. "I love that bag. Marc Jacobs. 995." He growls and I can almost feel his eyes roll. I swear if there was AA for bag obsessives he would have me there weekly. It's a good thing I can't afford these loves.
Watch the trailer and see it in motion.
Check out the movie and see Clive in action!
Best,
Kwana

LOL. I saw the trailer but the film looked a bit too silly for me. It is really wierd cos Clive Owen has been around in the UK for ages but did not get his break till a few years back. He has been touted as the next James Bond and I think he would have been great. Apparently Julia Roberts LOVES him to death. He certainly has something and I prefer him to Jude Law who comes across as a total twat.
Given the choice between Cliv & the bag... I would SO pick Clive!!!!
Sooo gorgeous and Clive Owen isn't bad either :)
What about Julia, she rocks. I think it is her smile that always gets me. That bag and Clive rock too!
I love how a movie can make you want to up your game.
I haven't seen this movie yet, but I want to. Might be a girl's day out kind of thing. (Although I heard it's not doing well in theaters.) Great bag!
Nice MJ Bag!! xo
Clive would get on my nerves after a day or two.
However, I could love that bag a long, long time.
Looks good, he is so sexy! Love the bag too!
Oh, that's funny! I see why you were distracted.
HOT! I'm in the market for a new shoulder bag--I want one big enough to carry a Kindle. Maybe this one would work..
I like Clive, but I'd take the MJ handbag. That one is high on the list of fantasy bags I debate buying one day.
LOL... you are too funny.
I say only a woman with style can choose a purse over Clive. I already have my Clive so I'll take the purse, please.
Enjoy! xoxo
I love hand bags myself but the cheapskate in me usually wins out. However, if you find an AA for handbags let me know, I will send my daughter with you.
I saw Duplicity..only for Clive, but I was really let down. Seems like they were trying too hard to be clever and the ending totally pissed me off. But...at least I got to see charming Clive, so I will forget I ever paid attention to the movie except for him.... LOL
If a bag distracts you from the hunkiness that is Clive Owen, then you MUST be a bagaholic.
Actually, they're BOTH gorgeous.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
I adore Clive! Julia, not so much. But I do want to see this film. And Kwana, you are soooo funny about the purse!
You all make me laugh. Yep, I do have a problem. But to my credit the bag was not on my mind when Clive was in a towel!
Jax I can understand you feelings I did have some in the beginning in order to not give away spoilers I won't say why I liked the ending.
Ondo, you are tough on Jude. I have to say I liked him originally but all the nanny stuff turned me off.
Both the bag and Clive are beautiful.
You're funny! Hope your week is off to a great start.
That is hysterical. I find myself doing the same thing during movies...usually when I spy a fabulous wrought iron sprial staircase that would look fabulous in our attic. :-)
HA, I love it that you noticed the bag - I'm always checking out clothes and accessories in movies. It can be distracting.
This post completely made me laugh! That's the kind of comment I would make to my husband too in the middle of a movie!
