A New POV

So I have a new lover. And shock of all shock, this one isn't a handbag, but it will fit very nicely inside just about any that I have thankyouverymuch.

It's the Sony 505. Squeal!!!

I can't tell you have excited I am over this. I just get all tingly thinking about it. Book upon book upon book all in one slim sexy little device. Just holding it feels positively decadent.

Cut to me with the DH sleeping on one side and my 505 on the other. Bliss.

So far I have 15 books on my reader. I mean just imagine if I were lugging those 15 books around with me. Not very cute. And the lovely thing about the Sony is I am able to put my own documents on it too so I can read my current work on the go and look it it from a new POV (Point of View).

Could it be that this library lover is a digital girl? I think so.

Anything worth you looking at this week from a new POV?

Best,
Kwana

Congrats Kwana! I'm kind of on the fence about reading electronically; I hate reading the newspaper via the web but we'll see... for traveling, it would certainly be nice.

I agree with Lecia. A friend of mine who travels way too much has the Kindle and recently told me it is great on the plane, in case she does not like one book she can check out another and is not "stuck" for hours an an airplane reading a book she is not enjoying.

WOW - that is so cool looking! I wish I had time to read still. I used to love nothing more than settling down with a good biography. something I haven't done since I met Mr. Blog.

I was slobbering over the 505 this weekend. I have a Kindle, but that Sony is soooo much cuter!

There was a "Librarians" convention in Chicago when I was there, and there are so many more things like this that are changing the face of our Libraries. Digital libraries and cyber cafes were all about Chicago.
Every where I went I was asked if I need a "hook-up" and I was sort of taken aback. lol! You new friend looks like a great hook-up!

Enjoy your new toy! I am so slow to enter the world of technology. I always wonder why I need this new thing when I've done without it for so long. So what books do you have on your new Sony?

BTW - That was a great teaser...putting your story out there for us to see. I can't wait to hear more about that!

Thanks for the kudos Ladies!
Oh Debra How I love you. You know I was eyeing that LV bag. LOL!

I got a lot of books for free on the Sony site. I just finished Victoria Dahl's Talk Me Down which was a fun and sexy read. Pride and Prejudice came loaded on it which is so wonderful to be able to read a few Austen words when ever I want. And right now I'm reading a Brenda Jackson Romance that's going very fast.

Not to mention the traditional books I'm also reading. Good thing it's summer and TV's no good.

Oh and Deidra My book Running In My Sleep is still looking for a publisher. It's Women's fiction and close to my heart. About a woman who on the outside has it all together but when her faith is her marriage is tested she realizes that she has to turn her life upside down to find her true self.

From that first photo, I thought you might be saying that you now have a crush on Scarlett Johanssen. Can't say that I'd blame you!

As for the digital reader, I've been resisting. Reading (the offline reading I do, that is) is such a tactile thing for me. I love the scent of a new book, the feel of a page. Then again, I would love a portable device like this for traveling. Hmm . . .

I still miss my sony e-reader. I had to give it up when I left my job in publishing:(

Happy reading!

That is such a cool idea. I don't know if I am ready to give up the physical book yet. Enjoy.

That Scarlett is a beauty LOL.

I have to say I'm not giving up on regular books. They are still my first love. I guess you can call me stepping out.

Congrats! An e-reader may be at the top of my Christmas wish list! I'll be interested to see how you like the Sony. Have you tried the Kindle? I suppose when fall rolls around I'll have to do some investigating to see which will work best for me. I do like that you can upload your WIP... that could be pretty cool. Keep us updated on how the love affair is progressing!
