Hose Down

Today I'm wishing I could just hose down my house. It needs a serious cleaning something like this:
I just don't have the energy and really I'd like to be spending my time just writing and not with a mop and bucket. Sigh.

When will they make a wash and wear house? Come on, 2010 is right around the corner people! I bet they have something like it in Japan or maybe even Epcot. Hmm...

Best,
Kwana

I do feel your pain. Especially after having a house-full for several weeks. Little by little...I do feel best when all is in order. I'll chip away at it until it's all back together. A self-cleaning house sounds great to me right now.

I hear ya! I caught a glimpse of too many cob webs....need to deep clean before my company comes! I just want to wiggle my nose and blink wham! It's done!

Sounds to me that you must make a visit to Disney! I do wonder how the mess happens. A clean-up fairy would be nice...

Fun picture and great idea!! I need to shampoo my carpet in the upstairs area of my house. Too lazy at the moment.

Take it one room at a time, and you'll feel see your accomplishment.

Kwana- I was just thinking this last night!! I wish I could just hose down our home. LOL... It is either bring the cleaning lady back into my life and put extra hours into work or have a few dust bunnies and blog visit. I like the 2nd choice better. smile... Have a golden one! xoxo

I am doing the same thing here too-love the idea of "hosing down the furniture!"

I don't mind cleaning -just dislike mopping floors!

They already have one of those. It's called 'maid service' LOL

I'm sure the broom and mob will get you all charged up to write! Hang in there...at least it's sunny in NYC!

Can we hose down the dogs at the same time? I'm so loving that idea!!! Forget dusting when you can wash and wipe!

After the hair Jake leaves on the couch I wish I could hose mine down once in a while.

I once read about a man who dreamed about a drive thru (as in carwash) kitchen. Baring that, is it too much to ask for a floor drain and a hose long enough on the kitchen faucet to wash things down. I bet the military has already made this happen. We are just looking to the wrong design heroes. Good luck and bribe yourself with adult beverages.

The solution to your problem is called Children, you can turn them into slaves and make them clean the entire house just like Cinderella had to, although you do have to put up with their complaining, but in the end the job gets done?

I always feel like I'm constantly cleaning the house or washing clothes. Luckily my hubby does help, but I'm really looking forward to the self cleaning house. Seriously.

Ha! I love all the comments this post has got. I see I hit a nerve. Sadly the house was not hosed down. Writing won. Oh well.

As for the image I googled retro housekeeping and got this. Thanks!

As for the dear teens. Ugh. hardly any help there.

Well, I also use hose when I'm cleaning my house, and it really helps a lot. Thanks for sharing.
