Moody Blues

What’s Jack up to? Jack is being Jack, up to his usual antics. He was mad at me for walking out on him the other day so what does he do? He rips the plastic edge off the trash bag that was hanging over the can. Yah, I know I should have tucked it better but… meh!

I’m in a mood. Just a mood. It was bound to happen and honestly it happens way more often than you my lovely blog readers think. I’m mostly always in a mood. It’s just me the up and down Gemini. I mask it well. By the time you read this post the mask will probably be in place. I’ll be getting my allergy shots and taking all six of them like a champ or I’ll be onto holiday food shopping with Nana up at Costco and even smiling while waiting on the crazy long lines.

But as I write this I’m over the economy and folks using it as excuses to dog out good people. There are even commercials now that say buy our car and we’ll cover you if you lose your job. Ugh. Way to mess up my TV watching.

I’m over this crazy art word game that I play where you pour your soul out and then wait on a few to tell you if you rate or not. Now I have no one to blame but myself for this since I come from the world of fashion design where I did the exact same thing with the same amount of angst. It must be some sort of strange validation need I have or this God awful need to create and want to be paid for it and it deemed good. Ugh again.

I’m over smiling through it and patience and “one day.” Because while all this smiling and patience and waiting must happen, life still goes on. Wrinkles come. Hair turns grey. Kids grow. Bills mount. Hips spread. Stairs crack. Patience thins.

Told you I was in a mood.

And please no need to say cheer up. I’ll just growl at you, but with love. Because in the end I know I have things to smile about and be thankful for yada, yada, yada…

But today, today is the day for The Mood.
Now aren't you glad you came to see the happy writer today?
Anything you’re over right about now? Feel free to vent here. Seriously break free and vent. Comment away! Enjoy.

Best,
Kwana

Nobody should expect anyone to be 100% happy all the time. Do whatever you need to do with this mood, but don't let it completely takeover.

Yikes. I was in that same exact mood a few days ago. The fact that the weather was rainy only made it worse. But the skies are blue today and the air is crisp and I'm feeling better. If we didn't have down days, then our up days wouldn't be so up. hugs.

Oh do I know those moods well! Being married to a gemini and having to gage those moods takes up so much of my time! I wonder which is more difficult... feeling it, or side-stepping it? ;-) Hoping today is more up than down.... xoh

I can't quite picture you in this mood, but I hope it passes soon! Personally, I'm over how there aren't enough hours in a day to get done everything I need to do.

Hey, everyone has to have a Mood sometimes! Otherwise we become obnoxiously cheerful and angelic Dickens heroines. :)

It's been gray and windy here, AND I got a bunch of revisions to do on top of everything else, so a Mood sounds like the way to go today. I'm with you there.

It is OK to have the mood. As you said it will pass. I do agree with you about people taking advantage of using the economy.

There isn't enough room here to really vent and I don't think you would like to see my head spin and the color of green everywhere! It would more look like a big ole pity party. Even though I like a good party I will keep this for a party for one.

Is it safe to still say "have a golden day"? LoL... sending you hugs.. xoxo

PS are you having Easter?

Liberty to be a crankypants - bliss.

I'm annoyed with having to be here, when I want to be there (home).

Everybody is entitled to be moody. I certainly am, and I'm betting that we all mask it too. It's hard to stay positive sometimes when scammers are targeting innocent citizens, the economy doesn't seem to be improving, and nasty people are being nasty to others just to make themselves feel better...I try to step back and just observe. I'm an emotional person, anyway...but I tend to focus on the silver lining even when the going gets tough.

Oh Kwana you are singing my song! I have been so cranky and in a mood for too long. A bath and a glass or two of wine is my medicine. Shake it off girl nobody wants to hang with Eeyore be the the Tigger!

I hear ya'. There will always be someone that will listen and just listen, not give advice, not judge, just listen.

You are a great writer! But writers or artists in general, need to vent. We are blessed and most often "cursed"with this function, even when the rest of the world can't understand us!

Take care, Anita

It's o.k. to have a day and be in a mood. When that happens to me, I tend to just go within and want to be alone. The change in routine and vacation weeks can do that...

Thanks for the kind words. Grrrr... No scissors in my eyes. Still moody but the day is almost over. It shall pass...or not:) Smooches.

Sometimes it is so satisfying just to be IN A MOOD and go with it. I even like the phrase "in a mood." As if it needs to other description or justification.
