The Best Laid Plans

I started out with the best of intentions, really, I did!

Somewhere around 12:30 it all seemed to go downhill.

Once I got all my junk off my way too cluttered dresser and onto my bed I made the mistake of dumping the bins from the floor that had been filled with other random piles of junk (from said dresser) onto the bed too.

That's when I realized my bin/pile method was not working and I needed a slim drawer system also a new jewelry system for all my baubles in random mini bins. Ugh!

This suddenly called for a run to the store.
4 stores and hours later I was left with nothing but the same messy pile on the bed and nothing but disappointment. So sad.

Don't you hate it when a plan doesn't come together?

Oh well, the joys of domestic life. Guess I'll try again today...maybe.

Best,
Kwana

Yesterday I had planned to blog and then clean. While I did make some progress, you'd ever know if by looking around our apartment. Good luck today!

Oh, girlfriend, I feel your pain. I can spend a whole day with good intentions but nothing gets done. What is wrong with us??!!

I just go area by area in my house. If I think of an entire space, I get overwhelmed. When I say "area" it could be as small as a drawer space. Over time it all gets done. And I realize I have too much stuff. Then I box it up and donate it. Good luck with your project. Just don't put Jack in a Box :D

I just finished a similar project. I know going through all of the old, new, classic and costume jewelry can be daunting! Most of it I will never wear- but so hard to part with. I think those little 'areas' are the most challenging! I hope it's coming along.

I like a lady with good intentions! Keep at it and you will impress us all with what you find. It is like a mountain, we just climb a little higher each day, we finally reach the top, enjoy the view and then slide back down...
weeee! happy leaning and cleaning!

This reminded me of how much I need to find/buy a good jewelry chest. At the moment, all my jewelry is rolled up in a travel case--recipe for ending up with only one of ever pair of earrings!

I give you an A for effort!! Atleast you had a plan right! A+ for that! Wisk it under the bed and tomorrow is another day!

So many times I have started a project and took off more then I could chew. Now I try to break them down into smaller projects that way if I'm not up to finishing at least what I got out is done.

I guess you have some motavation, you'll want to sleep on your bed tonight.

Oh, I HATE when that happens! I tend to kick-off these projects when Mike is out of town, which he is tonight, which is why I'm still in my office right now. If I don't go home I can't reorg, right? RIGHT?!

Ummm, I no longer own a jewelry box. I put everything in a cardboard box and dig through it when I need jewelry. Come to think of it, I've been in my apartment 5 months and still haven't unpacked all the boxes. Good thing because I'll be moving soon :P Less packing to do.

Ah yes, sounds like my day. It just sort of fell apart around three. I have just got to get this filing down. The stack is beginning to teeter.

I know exactly how you feel... especially when you have 2 little ones shadowing all that you're doing and they just seem to undo all that you've done. :)
