A Cheap Date

What's Jack Up to? Jack is getting his Monday chill on after dealing with the wild family all weekend. A cloudy day means a Jack will be perched on the couch dozing for a good part of the day.

The DH and I had a party to go to on Saturday night that we thought we were showing up for fashionably late. Turns out that 11:00 was not late enough. Seriously, nobody was there yet. I was like, "what, is this party being hosted by Kelly from the Not So Real Housewives of the NYC?"

But no, it was the DH's bud's party and he wanted to make an appearance. So we drove around in the city looking for a bite to eat. He wanted to treat me to something a bit fancy. I said no way.
This is there we ended up for some pre-party fare.

There's a good reason he married me. I'm so easy to please.
I hope you had a satisfying weekend.

Best,
Kwana

Wow you are easy to please. I'm that way to, I don't need fancy as long as i'm in good company.

I love hot dogs...one of my all time favorite spots in LA is PINK'S. Yummy! I used to go to Dodger games just so I can can kick back with beers and a few dawgs...

Looks like yummi-ness to me! I think your party hosts must've been Brazilian - showing up 2+ hours after "start time" of festivities down here is expected!

Oh that was so funny and real!! So did you ever make it to the party? :)

Sometimes the cheap impromptu outings are the best. A fancy dinner is nice every now and then but finding a local restaurant, diner, or bar can be rewarding to both your wallet and your tummy. I'm glad you all enjoyed.

The universe always shows me the way...*puts two veggie dogs on the stove* What a great date you are, so-how was the party?

The party was fun although it was very late by the time we arrived. We danced to a few songs. Hip-hip and reggae. I was a bit tired and felt quite worn out the next morning on the little league field. LOL.

Ooh, I have a great 3am Gray's Papaya story from ages ago...

And don't worry, we'll be starting much earlier than 11 this weekend. :0)

Wow. That's a late party. I would have wanted to be in my pajamas by then, I think. After the hot dogs, of course!
