New restaurant tonight, Persian and BYOB. Fun! PVE is the designated driver. Loves her!
We've all finished THE TEN YEAR NAP and I can't wait to get into the discussion and see who thought what of this book about mothers going through life's adversities. I've got my thoughts. But, don't I always?
The new selection is THE LACE READER by Brunonia Barry. I've decided to "read" this one on audio book during walks with Jack since the weather is getting better and my TBR (to be read) pile is tipping over and full of great romances that I'm excited to read.
Here is the trailer:
What are you currently reading?
Best,
Kwana
P.S. I made an error! Part 2 of the NYC Housewives reunion is tonight. I'm setting my DVR are you watching?

I'm right in the middle of The Ten Year Nap. Your evening out sounds delightful- may I join you? Anxious to hear what you all think of the book!!!
Would you recommend this book? Have fun tonight!
I'm not really reading anything. I should be tho.
I want so bad to sit down and get into a good book. Problem is when I do I don't get anything else done. I better wait until graduation is over or I won't get done what needs to be done there.
The day after graduation, I'm going to the library, look out.... :)
The 10 Year Nap sounds good, I am going to check into it. I am still plugging thru THE WOMEN by T C Boyle. Slow going, but I will finish it.
I read and enjoyed The Lace Reader. I would recommend that story and hope you all enjoy it as well!
I don't want to miss Part 2 of the RHONY!! Enjoy your evening, Kwana and PVE!!
Was The Ten Year Nap good? I'm always looking for new books to read! (I did read The Lace Reader, and didn't care for it...)
Right now I'm reading "The Scandal of the Season" by Sophie Gee, a book I picked up on the sale table at Barnes and Noble! So far so good...
I'm between books. Trying hard to write! Taking time out for America's Next Top Model, tho.
There is nothing better than to read and to have a pile of books to read. One of my new year's hopes was to challenge myself to read more, increase my vocabulary as well as treat myself. I know that I am not alone and in good company on this quest!
I just picked up a new "debut" novel from the Library;
"The Lover's Knot"

You know I'm watching the Housewives tonight!
As for what I'm reading, I'm in the middle of a Brit comedy-of-manners called "A Much Married Man" by Nicholas Coleridge. Fun & clever, if a bit long in parts.
My recent Audible download is "The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Society". I've only recently gotten into listening to books, but when they're narrated well, it adds an entirely new dimension to the story.
I never watched ANY of the Housewives, believe it or not. But when those Jersey broads were on this week...like a moth to a flame I was...
:-)
I'm reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and it is AMAZING.
Lovely evening Kwana!
I smiled at that NY wives photo...they looked like they were in their best behavior...so unlike them at all non?!!! ;)
I'm currently re- reading "Outlander" for my own book club. When one of our group found out that several members had never read it, she insisted we read it. I'm so glad she did! It's been 16 years since I first read it and it's like finding an old friend again:)
Survivor will be on my DVR tonight as I will be at my youngest daughter's high school drama production. Have fun tonight!
I am so sad that I won't be able to watch the Real Housewives reunion tonight. :-(
My life without cable is soooo lackluster! LOL
At least I do have the regular channels now. So happy because I love So You Think You Can Dance!
Wow, sounds like a cool read. I'm going to check out the Lace Reader site.
I'm reading pieces of three or four books. Whichever one I pick up at the moment gets at least 2-5 pages out of me. LOL
Have fun on your girl's night out. I mean your bookclub. xoxo
Book Club was so exciting with mixed reviews on The Ten Year Nap. everyone had a opinion on the characters and the writing and I could see how Meg would be a great short story writer. It felt like a lot of sort stories to me.
Made for lively discussion.
I read the Ten Year Nap a while back...and had a book club meeting last night too! Mine discussed The Nine - timely...
Oh and thanks for all the recommendations. I love hearing what others are reading. I'm glad we have more book clubs out there.
That book sounds really interesting. Yet another one to add to my list!
